about the artist


Susan Milner McCall is an award-winning artist who has exhibited in many regional art shows. Born in North Carolina and raised in the Northeast, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Studio Art at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

In addition to her own work, Susan has been passionate educator. She has been an adjunct professor at King University, taught at the William King Museum of Art in the Art Express program (expanding the art programs of regional public elementary schools), and was an art instructor at the King Summer Scholar Camp at King University for five years.

She retired in 2015 from Sullins Academy, where she taught art, art history, and encouraged the creativity of her students for 22 years. Susan works primarily in oil and pastel and her favorite subjects are sill life and portraits of dogs.
